By accessing our website, scheduling an appointment, registering for a course, purchasing a service, or otherwise engaging Crucial Pointe, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions, along with our applicable Policies & Guidelines, Privacy Policy, service-specific requirements, and any applicable written agreements.

Not every service is available at all times. Availability may depend on scheduling, staffing, equipment, supplies, third-party laboratories or vendors, course requirements, location, and other operational considerations.
2. Eligibility & Accurate Information
You agree to provide complete and accurate information when registering, booking, purchasing, or receiving services from Crucial Pointe.
Depending on the service, this may include your legal name, date of birth, email address, telephone number, employer information, identification, or other information necessary to complete the requested service.
Certain services may be subject to age, consent, identification, employer, regulatory, program, or other eligibility requirements.
Crucial Pointe is not responsible for delays or complications resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information provided by a client, student, donor, employer, or other requesting party.
3. Appointments, Scheduling & Attendance
Appointments and scheduled course sessions are subject to availability.
Clients and students are responsible for reviewing and complying with applicable appointment instructions, arrival requirements, prerequisites, identification requirements, and preparation instructions.
Specific requirements regarding late arrivals, cancellations, rescheduling, missed appointments, and no-call/no-shows are maintained in our Policies & Guidelines, which are incorporated into these Terms & Conditions by reference.
By scheduling an appointment or registering for a course or service, you agree to comply with the Policies & Guidelines applicable to that service.
4. Payments & Fees
Payment may be required at the time of booking or registration and may be required in full before certain services are provided.
Prices are displayed or communicated based on the service selected and are subject to change.
Additional fees may apply when appropriate, including rescheduling fees, mobile or on-site service fees, laboratory or confirmation-testing charges, group-service charges, or other service-specific costs.
Where an additional charge applies, Crucial Pointe will communicate the applicable fee as appropriate to the service or arrangement.
Employer and organizational accounts may be subject to separate pricing, invoicing, payment, or service terms established through a written agreement or account arrangement.
You are responsible for charges associated with services you purchase or authorize.
5. Training & Course Registration — No Refund Policy
All training and course registration fees are non-refundable once registration and payment have been completed, except where Crucial Pointe expressly agrees otherwise in writing or where otherwise required by applicable law.
This policy applies regardless of whether a participant:
Cancels their registration or appointment;
Fails to attend a scheduled appointment or course;
Is a no-call/no-show;
Arrives too late to participate or complete the scheduled service;
Fails to complete required prerequisite coursework;
Fails to complete an assigned online or blended-learning component;
Does not successfully complete applicable course or certification requirements;
Fails to use course access or materials that have been assigned or purchased; or
Becomes unable or chooses not to participate after registration.
Certain registrations require Crucial Pointe to purchase, assign, reserve, or incur costs for digital learning access, American Heart Association eLearning modules, course keys, licensing, certification resources, course materials, instructor preparation, or other expenses associated with the registration. Some of these costs are incurred shortly after registration and cannot be recovered by Crucial Pointe if the participant later cancels or fails to attend.
Cancellation, nonattendance, or failure to complete a course does not convert a non-refundable registration into a refundable purchase.
When eligible, participants may reschedule according to our Policies & Guidelines. Rescheduling provides an opportunity to complete the service associated with the existing registration; it does not create a right to a refund.
If a participant uses or forfeits all available rescheduling opportunities, fails to pay an applicable rescheduling fee, or reaches the point at which the existing registration is closed under our Policies & Guidelines, the original payment remains non-refundable. A new registration and full payment may be required to schedule again.
Any exception granted by Crucial Pointe is discretionary unless otherwise required by law and does not create an entitlement to the same exception in another situation.
6. Rescheduling, Late Cancellations & No-Call/No-Shows
Crucial Pointe maintains specific operational policies concerning appointment changes and missed appointments.
Eligible individual registrations generally include one complimentary reschedule when the required advance notice is provided.
Late cancellations and no-call/no-shows may result in forfeiture of the complimentary reschedule, and an applicable rescheduling fee must be paid before another eligible appointment can be booked.
Repeated missed appointments may result in closure of the existing registration and require a new registration and full payment.
The complete current requirements, including applicable notice periods, fees, and repeated missed-appointment rules, are maintained in our Policies & Guidelines.
Rescheduling eligibility does not change the non-refundable status of a training or course registration.
7. American Heart Association Courses
Certain courses offered through Crucial Pointe utilize American Heart Association ("AHA") programs, materials, standards, or certification processes.
Where a course includes an online or blended-learning component, participants are responsible for completing all required prerequisites and course components before attending the applicable in-person skills session.
Booking an in-person skills session does not waive required online coursework or other prerequisites.
Registration or attendance alone does not guarantee certification.
Certification or an eCard may only be issued after successful completion of all applicable course requirements.
Crucial Pointe does not have authority to waive or modify certification requirements established by the applicable certifying organization.
Failure to complete required online coursework or prerequisites before the scheduled skills session may require rescheduling and does not create a right to a refund.
American Heart Association course names, trademarks, materials, and intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.
Additional participation and blended-learning requirements are available in our Policies & Guidelines.
8. Digital Course Materials & Third-Party Platforms
Some services require the use of third-party platforms, laboratories, certification systems, scheduling systems, payment processors, online-learning systems, or other external providers.
Digital course materials, access codes, course keys, eLearning modules, or other individually assigned resources may be non-transferable and may represent nonrecoverable costs once purchased, issued, activated, or assigned.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information necessary for these systems and for monitoring the email address and other contact information provided during registration.
Crucial Pointe is not responsible for outages, processing delays, technical failures, shipping delays, laboratory delays, platform interruptions, or other circumstances caused by third-party systems or providers outside Crucial Pointe's reasonable control.
We will make reasonable efforts to assist clients when an issue affecting their service can appropriately be addressed by Crucial Pointe.
9. Occupational & Drug-Testing Services
Crucial Pointe provides occupational testing and specimen-collection services within the scope of services we are currently qualified, equipped, contracted, and authorized to provide.
Testing procedures and requirements may vary based on the service ordered, employer requirements, laboratory procedures, regulatory requirements, collection protocols, and third-party vendor systems.
When an employer or organization orders testing, Crucial Pointe generally performs or coordinates the service requested by that organization. Crucial Pointe does not make employment decisions on behalf of an employer and is not responsible for an employer's hiring, disciplinary, return-to-work, termination, or other employment decisions.
Clients and donors are responsible for following applicable specimen-collection instructions and procedures.
Crucial Pointe does not guarantee a particular test result or specific laboratory turnaround time.
Where confirmation testing, Medical Review Officer review, laboratory analysis, or another third-party service is applicable, timing and processing may depend on the applicable testing arrangement and third-party provider.
Additional testing procedures and expectations are described in our Policies & Guidelines.
10. Results & Authorized Communications
Testing results, course information, certification information, and other service-related information will be communicated through appropriate and authorized channels.
For employer-directed services, certain information may be communicated to the employer, organization, or authorized representative that ordered or coordinated the service, as permitted or required by the applicable service arrangement.
Crucial Pointe reserves the right to verify identity or authorization before releasing sensitive information.
For additional information regarding how personal information is collected, used, and handled, please review our Privacy Policy.
11. Employer & Organizational Accounts
Employers, staffing agencies, healthcare organizations, schools, transportation companies, workforce organizations, and other organizational partners may establish separate service arrangements with Crucial Pointe.
These arrangements may include separate terms regarding:
Pricing
Billing and invoicing
Scheduling
Employee referrals
Testing protocols
Group training
Mobile or on-site services
Cancellation or rescheduling
Communication
Service expectations
Other organization-specific requirements
If a signed agreement, service agreement, proposal, contract, or other written arrangement contains terms that conflict with these general Terms & Conditions, the applicable written agreement will govern that organizational engagement to the extent of that conflict.
12. Mobile, On-Site & Group Services
Mobile, on-site, and group services are subject to availability and may require advance scheduling, minimum participation requirements, travel or mobile fees, deposits, appropriate facilities, equipment access, or other service-specific arrangements.
Organizational clients are responsible for providing an appropriate and reasonably safe environment for services performed at their location.
Specific cancellation, rescheduling, payment, or attendance requirements for group and organizational engagements may be established through a separate proposal, invoice, service agreement, or contract.
13. Professional Conduct & Safety
Crucial Pointe is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and professional environment.
We reserve the right to refuse, discontinue, or terminate service when a person's conduct is threatening, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, unsafe, fraudulent, significantly disruptive, or otherwise interferes with the safe and professional delivery of services.
Where appropriate, an individual may be asked to leave the premises.
Any payment or refund implications resulting from termination of service will be determined based on the circumstances, applicable policies, services already provided or costs already incurred, and applicable law.
14. Service Limitations
Crucial Pointe makes reasonable efforts to provide services professionally, accurately, and within expected timeframes.
However, certain aspects of our services depend on third parties, including laboratories, certification organizations, shipping providers, electronic platforms, vendors, employers, and other external systems.
Estimated turnaround times are estimates and are not guarantees unless expressly stated otherwise in a written agreement.
Crucial Pointe is not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing on our website should be interpreted as a guarantee of employment, certification without successful completion of applicable requirements, a specific drug-testing result, laboratory processing time, or any other outcome that depends on third parties or requirements outside Crucial Pointe's control.
15. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on our website accurate and current.
However, service descriptions, pricing, availability, operating hours, policies, and other information may be updated periodically.
Website content is provided for general informational and service-related purposes and should not be interpreted as medical, legal, employment, or other individualized professional advice unless expressly provided within the scope of a specific professional service.
16. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, content created by Crucial Pointe and displayed on our website — including original text, graphics, branding, logos, photographs, documents, training resources, and other materials — is owned by or licensed to Crucial Pointe and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, republish, sell, or commercially exploit Crucial Pointe-owned content without prior written permission.
Third-party trademarks, certification marks, course materials, logos, and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.
17. Privacy
Your use of our website and services may involve the collection and processing of personal information.
Our separate Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, disclosed, stored, and otherwise handled.
By using our website or services, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review our Privacy Policy.
18. Electronic Communications
By providing your email address or telephone number in connection with a booking, registration, inquiry, employer account, or service, you acknowledge that Crucial Pointe may communicate with you regarding your appointment, registration, course, testing service, account, payment, or other service-related matters.
Communications may occur through email, telephone, text/SMS, scheduling-system notifications, or other appropriate business systems.
You are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information and reviewing service-related communications, including checking spam or junk folders when appropriate.
Failure to review a communication does not automatically waive an applicable appointment, prerequisite, payment, or course requirement.
19. Third-Party Links & Services
Our website or communications may contain links to or integrate with third-party websites, platforms, payment processors, scheduling systems, laboratories, certification organizations, or other external services.
Crucial Pointe does not control all aspects of third-party websites or systems and is not responsible for their independent content, privacy practices, availability, or policies.
Your use of third-party services may also be subject to the terms and policies of those providers.
20. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Crucial Pointe provides its website and services without guarantees or warranties beyond those expressly stated in writing.
We do not guarantee that the website or third-party systems will always be uninterrupted or error-free, or that services dependent on third-party processing will be completed within a specific timeframe.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes any warranty, right, or protection that cannot legally be excluded.
21. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Crucial Pointe will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from use of the website or services, including losses resulting from third-party delays, inaccurate information supplied by a client or organization, missed appointments, failure to complete required course components, or circumstances outside Crucial Pointe's reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
22. Circumstances Beyond Our Control
Crucial Pointe may cancel, postpone, reschedule, modify, or temporarily suspend services when circumstances beyond our reasonable control make service delivery unsafe, unavailable, or impractical.
Examples may include severe weather, emergencies, utility or internet outages, facility issues, equipment failures, instructor or staff emergencies, government actions, third-party system outages, or similar circumstances.
Where Crucial Pointe initiates an individual appointment reschedule for these reasons, the standard individual rescheduling fee will not apply.
23. Policies & Guidelines
Our Policies & Guidelines contain additional operational requirements concerning appointments, rescheduling, cancellations, no-call/no-shows, training participation, AHA blended learning, occupational testing, walk-ins, employer services, mobile services, and related matters.
The Policies & Guidelines are incorporated into these Terms & Conditions by reference.
If a service-specific written agreement contains different terms, the applicable written agreement may control that particular service or organizational engagement.
24. Changes to These Terms
Crucial Pointe may update these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect changes in our services, operations, policies, regulatory requirements, vendor relationships, or business practices.
Updates will become effective when the revised Terms & Conditions are posted to our website unless otherwise stated.
The effective date or last-updated date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
25. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable federal law governs a particular service or matter.
26. Severability
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
27. Entire Agreement
These Terms & Conditions, together with the applicable Policies & Guidelines, Privacy Policy, service-specific disclosures, and any applicable written service agreement, constitute the terms governing your use of Crucial Pointe's website and services.
For organizational clients operating under a separate signed agreement, that agreement may supplement or supersede portions of these general Terms & Conditions as specified in the agreement.
