BLS for Healthcare Providers is required for nurses (RN, LPN, CNA/STNA), nursing students, EMTs, dental staff, respiratory therapists, phlebotomists, and medical assistants. This course covers high-quality CPR for all age groups, the use of bag-valve masks (BVMs) and AEDs, effective teamwork during code scenarios, and accurate response under pressure. Certification is issued through the American Heart Association BLS Provider Card and is valid for two years. The class is approximately 3 to 3.5 hours in length.
